DIAMANTINA VILLARREAL SAN JUAN – Diamantina Villarreal, 85, died Saturday, October 3, 2015, at Grand Terrace Nursing Home in McAllen. Born in Abasolo, Coahuila, she had lived in San Juan for 57 years and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ramiro Villarreal; and three sons, Juan Ramiro Villarreal, Ricardo Villarreal, Jorge Rene Villarreal. Mrs. Villarreal is survived by three sons, Romeo (Leticia) Villarreal, Jaime R. Villarreal, Jorge (Olga) Villarreal, all of San Juan; three daughters, Tina (Robert) Flores, of Mission, Leticia Arreaga, of Donna, Dalia (Ernesto) Elizalde, of San Juan; a daughter in law, Bertha Villarreal, of San Juan; 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Armandina Reyes, of Mexico. The family would like to thank Dr. Pedro Arrazola, her loving caretakers, Vicky Lopez and Juliana Castro; Brian Rock and Sheryl Hemmer, of Helping Hands Home Health, and the staff of Grand Terrace Nursing Home for the care given to their mother. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Monday, October 5, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
