EDINBURG – Linda Villarreal, 72, entered eternal rest on Monday, August 2, 2010, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.
Born in Karnes City, Texas, Mrs. Villarreal had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Guadalupe Leal.
Mrs. Villarreal is survived by five children, Yolanda Ollervidez, Esmeralda Villarreal, Reynaldo (Yolanda) Villarreal, Patricia (Guadalupe) Reyes all of Edinburg and Elvia (Juan) Rodriguez of Coupland, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alicia L. Garza of Edinburg; two brothers, Jesus Leal III of Edinburg, Emilio Leal of Houston, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary today, August 4, 2010, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
