JULIA VILLARREAL SAN JUAN – Julia Villarreal, 84, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. She was born in Tuxpan, Nayarit, Mexico on June 19, 1929, and had lived in San Juan most of her life. Julia was a devoted wife and loving mother to her children and grandchildren. She lived a long life and will be dearly missed. Julia was strong in her Catholic faith and is now in heaven with our Lord forever looking over her children. Mrs. Villarreal is preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Villarreal, Sr.; parents, Jose and Alejandra Galindo; two brothers, Victor and Antonio Galindo. She is survived by her seven children; Fermin (Isabel) Villarreal of Mission, Manuel (Ruby) Villarreal, Maria Inez (Humberto Hernandez) Villarreal both of Edinburg, Roberto (Adelina) Villarreal, Jr. of Donna, Angelita (Paul) Garcia of Alamo, Jose Antonio Villarreal of Houston, Texas and Jesus Villarreal of San Juan.; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 10, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Roberto Villarreal Family and Friends Cemetery in Delmita, Texas. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
