EDINBURG - Luisa G. Villarreal, 83, died on Monday, August 29, 2011 at her residence in Edinburg.
Mrs. Villarreal was born in Pharr and had lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Cipriano Villarreal, Jr.; and a son, Antonio Villarreal.
Mrs. Villarreal is survived by a son, Carlos Villarreal of Edinburg; a daughter, Florestella Villarreal of Arkansas; two granddaughters, Raquel (Rigo) Garza of Edinburg and Victoria Lyn Lopez of Arkansas; a grandson, Cipriano Adrian (Ashley) Alaniz also of Arkansas; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, August 30, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
