Ramon "Ray" Villarreal Jr.

Ramon “Ray” Villarreal, Jr. EDINBURG - Ramon Villarreal, Jr. joined his Lord on the Lord’s Day Sunday, October 25, 2015. Ray was a graduate of Pan American University with a degree in Accounting. A successful entrepreneur, he joined his brother-in-law, Mike Castillo in forming Mike’s Loading Service. In addition, he was an Insurance and Financial Services agent for Farmers Insurance Group, Inc. In improving his skill set, he obtained his Life Underwriters Training Council Fellowship (LUTCF) designation. Ray was a wonderful motivational speaker and used his talents to train numerous Farmers Insurance Agents and District Managers in the area of financial services. A sales leader within the Company, Farmers Insurance appointed him as a District Manager in the Rio Grande Valley in 2009 where he achieved Championship and Topper’s Club status. Ray is survived by his wife, Vivian (Castillo) Villarreal; two sons, Roman and Aaron Villarreal; a daughter, Vanessa Villarreal; his parents, Ramon Villarreal, Sr. and Beatriz Molina Villarreal; his brother, Eddie (Irma) Villarreal; and two sisters, Anilia (John) Gonzaba and Norma (David) Ramos. Ray was very much loved by the Castillo Family. He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Moises Castillo. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lydia Castillo; his brother-in-law, Mike (Norma) Castillo; and three sisters-in-law, Norma (Jim) Daniel, Cynthia (Danny) Diaz, and Karen (Ceaser) Barriero. Viewing will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from 11am-1pm followed by the service at 1 o'clock at Baptist Temple 2001 Trenton Rd in McAllen. Interment will follow at Lonesome Dove Ranch in Faysville. Ray was passionate about his love for Christ. He was an inspiration to many. He ministered to others by sharing his knowledge of scripture and his faith. His true legacy is the deep love he had for his family. He loved the time he spent with his wife and kids, enjoying their sporting events and backyard play. Ray also loved praying and laying hands on his children and now his children are carrying forth this blessing. He will be missed. The family would like to thank Sheila Khan, Claudia Hernandez, and David Chavez for the love and care they provided to Ray over his two-year illness. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
