LIZA VILLEGAS
SAN JUAN - Liza Villegas, 47, went home to our Lord Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in Laredo, she was a former resident of McAllen and had been living in San Juan for 3 years.
Mrs. Villegas is survived by her loving husband, Jose Santos Villegas Jr.; four children, Michael Villegas, Karina Villegas, Santos Villegas, Ervin Villegas, all of San Juan; her mother, Betty V. Morales (Francisco E.) Martinez of McAllen; her father, Juan Maldonado of Donna; two siblings, Ana Melissa Maldonado of Laredo, Johnny R. (Rena) Maldonado of McAllen; her beloved pet, Peanut; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, January 17, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
