VIRGILIO RUVALCABA

EDINBURG – Virgilio Ruvalcaba, 75, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

Virgilio Ruvalcaba was born and raised in Mexico. He brought his family to the United States to give them a better life and give his children a chance at a better education. He was the hardest working man and provided for his family as best as possible. He would help anyone in need and if need be, he would give you the shirt off his back in a heartbeat. His love for his family was obvious and his contagious smile would always be there. His battle with several health issues was a long hard battle but never complained and NEVER gave up. He will be missed more than he will ever know. May he rest in peace and know that he was loved by his family very much.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fidencio and Dolores Ruvalcaba; six siblings, Angelica, Fidencio Jr., Javier, Dario, Jesus, and Gustavo Ruvalcaba.

Mr. Ruvalcaba is survived by his wife, Olivia Ruvalcaba; three children, Maria (Lloyd) Scott, Marco (Carla) Ruvalcaba, Rogelio Ruvalcaba; four grandchildren, Olivia Scott, Alexia Ruvalcaba, Kohl Scott, DJ Scott; three great-grandchildren, Melodie, Runa, Aros; three siblings, Dolores, Antonia, and Bladimir Ruvalcaba.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
