JIM WILSON EDINBURG – Jim Wilson, 84, died Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in El Paso, he had lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Wilson was a former Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace and an insurance agent. He was formerly owner of Delta Construction and owner of Delta Government Leases. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irma Wilson; two sons, Joseph R. (Olga G.) Wilson, Robert C. (Yvette) Wilson; and three grandchildren, Judith Renee Wilson, Jacqueline Rose Wilson and James Richard Wilson, all of Edinburg. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2015, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 8788 of McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
