Ysa Galindo

San Juan- Ysa Galindo, 93, died Sunday, December 22, 2024, at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen.

Mr. Galindo was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Josefina Galindo; and four siblings.

Mr. Galindo is survived by his wife, Aurora Olivarez Galindo; children; Ike (Ernestina) Galindo Jr., Irma Celia (Trinidad) Castillo, both of San Juan,  Ismelda Ramos of Edinburg, Juan (Rosario) Galindo, Ismael Galindo, both of San Juan, Israel (Sandra) Galindo of Edinburg, Isidoro (Yvette) Galindo of Alamo, Irene (Alejandra) Galindo-Cantu  of San Antonio; sixteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Galindo Gonzales. 

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by VFW 8788 of McAllen.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
