ALAMO - Arturo E. Ysquierdo, 79, died Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Solara Hospital in McAllen.
Mr. Ysquierdo was born in Alamo and had lived there all of his life. He was a member of Iglesia Santa Pentecostes Templo Elisama in San Juan.
He is preceded in death by three siblings, Rev. Brijido Ysquierdo, Socorro Solis and Jesus Ysquierdo, Jr.
Mr. Ysquierdo is survived by his wife, Cristina Ysquierdo; four children, Arnaldo (Elda) Ysquierdo, Armandina (Roberto) Cardona, Aleida (Armando) Noyola, Arturo (Sylvia) Ysquierdo, Jr., all of Alamo; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Trinidad Ysquierdo, of Donna, Alejandro Ysquierdo, of Wisconsin, Eduardo Ysquierdo, of Donna; and five sisters, Paula Sanchez, of Wisconsin, Francisca Noyola, Noemi Serna, both of Alamo, Alicia Bernal, of Donna, and Noemi Garcia, of Dallas.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm prayer service today, March 24, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Iglesia Santa Pentecostes Templo Elisama in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
