JESUS PABLO ZAMORA PHARR – Jesus Pablo Zamora, 81, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 26, 2013. Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, he was a valley native and had lived in Pharr since 1971. Mr. Zamora was a retired rancher who passed away doing what he loved best, spending time at his ranch. He was a strong, great man, husband and father, the foundation of our family. He will forever be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Zamora Maldonado and San Juanita Trevino De Zamora. Mr. Zamora is survived by his wife, Dominga Zamora Villarreal, of Pharr; six children, Maria De La Luz (Arnulfo Moreno) Garcia, of Roma, Francisco (Norma) Zamora, of Mission, Maria Elena (Daniel) Banning, of San Juan, Janie (Joe) Chavez, Jesus Pablo (Mari) Zamora Jr., both of Pharr and Javier (Yvonne) Zamora, of Edinburg; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He had eight siblings, Juan Zamora (†), Aurora Zamora Climaco (†), Cecilia Olivarez, Guadalupe Olivo, Ramiro Zamora, Irene Zamora, Magdalena Farias and Maria Antonia Villarreal. Visitation will be held from 12 noon to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, December 28, 2013, and Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 9 a.m. Monday, December 30, 2013, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
