ESTELLA FALCON ZAPATA EDINBURG - Estella Falcon Zapata went to meet our Savior on Monday, April 15, 2013, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg at the age of 83. Estella was born in Beeville, TX on August 26, 1929. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Guadalupanas for many years. Mrs. Zapata is preceded in death by her parents, Fidel and Luz Falcon; and a brother, Guadalupe Falcon. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Isidoro Zapata; six daughters, Mary Jane (Adan) Champion of McAllen, Emma (Jose) Rodriguez, Orfelinda Zapata, Marlene (Pablo) Sanchez, Maria (Leeroy) Rodriguez, Yvette (Eligio) Lopez, all of Edinburg; one son, Martin (Rachel) Zapata, of Edinburg; 15 loving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Cesario (Vicky) Falcon of Aransas Pass, TX; a sister-in-law, Felipa (Ramon) Reyes of Beaumont, TX; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 17, 2013, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
