LOMBARDO ZARATE, SR.

EDINBURG - Lombardo Zarate, Sr., 74, went to be with the lord on
Thursday, December 8, 2011.

Mr. Zarate was born in Edinburg and lived there all his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Apolonia Zarate; a
son, Leslie Michael Zarate; three brothers; and three sisters.

Mr. Zarate is survived by his wife of 53 years, Hilda Zarate; two sons,
Lombardo, (Angelica) Zarate, Jr., and Larry Zarate; two daughters,
Leticia Zarate, and Lottie Michelle Zarate; 19 grandchildren; 22
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sigifredo (Basilia) Zarate, and Jose
(Amparo) Zarate; four sisters, Abigail (Paul) Wooman; Modesta (Urbano)
Alaniz; Refugia (Bernardino) Garza, and Soila (Raul) Vela; numerous
nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service,
today, December 11, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral
service will be at 2 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2011 at First Christian
Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial
Gardens in Pharr. Pallbearers will be Robin Soto, Eleazar Soto, Johnny
Cardenas, Marcos Badillo, Lombardo Zarate, III, and Issac Zarate, Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Zarate,Sigifredo Zarate, and Lambardo Zarate Jr..
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The First Christian
Church, 410 W. University Dr., Edinburg, Texas 78539.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in
Edinburg.
