EDINBURG – Manuel Zuniga, 76, died Friday, August 5, 2011, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Zuniga was born in Los Altos, Tamps, Mexico and lived in Edinburg most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Prospero and Maria Isabel Zuniga; one brother, Prospero Zuniga Jr.; and a sister, Ema Zuniga.
Mr. Zuniga is survived by his wife, Dora E. Zuniga of Edinburg; two sons, Victor Zuniga, Alex Zuniga both of Edinburg; one grandchild, Victoria A. Zuniga of Alamo; step mother, Maria D. Zuniga; three brothers, Juan (Elva) Zuniga, Francisco (Laura) Zuniga, Eduardo Zuniga; eight sisters, Jovita Zuniga, Candelaria Schaffer, Norma (Trinidad) Lopez, Maria (Rolando) Velasquez, Sylvia (Baldemar) Salazar, Sonia (Arnoldo) Arteaga, Celia (Jose) Silva, Isabel Zuniga; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held today, August 7, 2011 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 9, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
