Maria Alicia Zuniga

PHARR – Maria Alicia Zuniga, 72, passed Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
Maria lived in Pharr for all of her life and was a member of, St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Maria was employed at Lone Star Insurance Services. She had been in the insurance business for over 50 years.
She is preceded in death by her son, Samuel Zuniga.
Maria is survived by her husband, Santiago Zuniga of Pharr; two children, Santiago (Vanessa) Zuniga, Jr. of Houston, and Sonia (Enrique) Vasquez of Pharr; five grandchildren, Emily Zuniga, Victoria Zuniga, Roberto Pena III, Santiago Zuniga III, Karina Vianey Martinez; and four sisters, Julia Escobedo of Lubbock, Marta Salinas of Waco, Josefina Garcia of San Juan, and Graciela Garcia of California.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, February 1, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon, Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palms Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
