Pedro Zuniga

PEDRO ESPINOZA ZUNIGA PHARR – Pedro Espinoza Zuniga, 81, died Tuesday, October 23, 2012, at his residence in Pharr. Mr. Zuniga was born in Pharr and lived there all of his life. He was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr and was employed by Texas Department of Transportation for 32 years until his retirement. He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Zuniga; his parents, Vicente Zuniga and Maria Espinoza; and one sister, Modesta Zuniga Vargaz. Mr. Zuniga is survived by three children, Nora (Jaime) Fernandez, of Round Rock, Eduardo (Jessica) Zuniga, Roberto (Daniela) Zuniga, both of Pharr; five grandchildren, Amber Zuniga, Abigail Zuniga, Robert Zuniga Jr., Julissa Erika Zuniga and Pedro Eduardo Zuniga all of Pharr; three sisters, Elida Gonzalez, Juanita Garcia, both of Reynosa, Maria Guadalupe Zuniga, of Houston; and three brothers, Genaro Zuniga, of Matamoros, Ruben Zuniga of Houston, and Jesus Zuniga, of Pharr. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, October 25, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012, at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
