VIRGINIA ZUNIGA
EDINBURG – Virginia Zuniga, 54, died Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Las Flores, Mexico, Ms. Zuniga lived in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Benito and Virginia Zuniga; a sister, Maria Estela Garces; a nephew, Edward Gomez; and two nieces, Becky Lozano and Kayla Ayala.
Ms. Zuniga is survived by two children, Stephanie Zuniga and Armando Zuniga, both of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Edward Zuniga, Kaydens Zuniga, Christopher Almazan; 11 siblings, Diana (Ruben) Navarro, Maria Elena Gomez, Maribel (Leon) Navarro, Yara (Manuel) Villanueva, Raquel (+Pete) Ayala, Cristina (Pablo) Adame, Rene (Irma) Zuniga, Benito (Delia) Zuniga, Felipe Zuniga, Alvaro Zuniga, Pedro Zuniga; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
