Virginia G. Zuniga

VIRGINIA G. ZUNIGA EDINBURG - Virginia G. Zuniga, 78, died Friday, July 27, 2012, at her residence in Edinburg. Born in Mexico, Mrs. Zuniga had lived in Edinburg for 45 years and was formerly of Progreso, Mexico. She is preceded in death by her husband, Benito Zuniga; and a granddaughter, Kayla Ayala. Mrs. Zuniga is survived by 12 children, Diana Navarro, Maria Elena Gomez, Maribel Navarro, Benito Zuniga, Virginia Zuniga, Yara Villanueva, Raquel Ayala, Felipe Zuniga, Alvaro Zuniga, Cristina Adame, Pedro Zuniga, Chris Zuniga; 30 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Velia Sauceda. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Monday, July 30, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
